WINTERSTRAND - The Melody Inside Three brothers, risen from the same passionate
blood that now is responsible for each one´s passion for music, grew up in the
southern countryside of nowhere. Soundscapes, heavy breaks, relaxed (but never
loungy) rhythms combined with a melodic intensity generate a timeless feeling
while getting acoustically irradiated with their unique style of music. A
feeling everyone can relate to his/her childhood. Besides the influences of
early 90ies electronic, folk, jazz, oldschool hiphop and early jungle, they use
loads of samples from a huge amount of tapes that they recorded themselves from
the mid-80ies to the mid-90ies - self-referentially to involve personal
experiences and memories they had during their early record-sessions in their
music. Back in those days they created a whole wide and pretty extraordinary
spectrum of sounds with tape recorders, percussion stuff, radios, keyboards,
guitars, self-made instruments and any other things, as long as they were cheap,
exciting and useful.

Tres hermanos que llevan en la sangre la misma pasión que ahora es responsable
de la pasión de cada uno por la música, crecieron en el sur de el país de
nuncajamás. Paisajes, grandes claros, ritmos relajados (pero nunca de salón)
combinados con una intensidad melódica que genera un sentimiento atemporal y al
tiempo acustico, conforma su particular estilo de música. Un sentimiento que
podemos relacionar con nuestra más tierna infacia. Además de las influencias de
principios de los 90, el folk, jazz, hip hop de la vieja escuela e inicios del
jungle, utilizan grandes cantidades de samples de un sinfin de grabaciones
propias hechas desde mediados de los 80 a mediados de los 90, que reflejan
experiencias personales y recuerdos de su primera epoca en el mundo de la
música. En aquella época crearon un extenso catálogo de sonidos con grabadoras,
elementos de percusión, radios, teclados, guitarras, instrumentos caseros y
demás... siempre que fueran baratos, sorprendentes y útiles.
